Our Story
First generation
MorVend began in the late 1960s, when the Morton family diversified from farming and introduced a small number of vending machines across Ipswich. Offering simple refreshments like milk and orange squash, the focus was on reliability, practicality, and dependable local service; values that continue to shape the business today.

Second generation
As workplaces evolved, so did we. Expanding into hot drinks, confectionery, and a wider range of refreshments, MorVend adapted to meet the changing needs of modern businesses. This steady, considered growth allowed the business to build long-term relationships and establish a strong reputation for consistency, service, and reliability across the region.

Third generation
In 2025, MorVend became part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, joining Amplifi, one of the UK’s fastest-growing smart retail businesses. While the business has evolved, its core focus remains the same: delivering reliable, high-quality service to its customers. Today, as part of a national smart retail network, MorVend combines the scale and innovation of Compass with the trusted expertise built over three generations. With access to leading national and international suppliers, we continue to provide a responsive, local service, supporting over 1,000 customers and managing more than 3,500 machines across the South East.

The University Caters Organisation
MorVend is an approved supplier on the TUCO framework, supporting public sector organisations, education providers, and contract catering environments.
